Rahul Mahajan is a Partner on the Marketing Team at LuminArx Capital Management.
Mr. Mahajan has significant experience in sales and marketing with a focus on alternative investment products. Prior to joining LuminArx, Mr. Mahajan was a Managing Director in the Investor Solutions team at CIFC Asset Management where he was responsible for raising capital from some of the largest institutional investors in North America for structured, distressed, and private credit strategies.
Before joining CIFC in 2017, Mr. Mahajan spent over nine years at Deutsche Bank where he was the Head of the Emerging Manager Group, which helped launch over 70 new hedge funds in the US, assisting them with all aspects of establishing their business, with a focus on capital raising. From 2004 to 2007 Mr. Mahajan was at HSBC in the Hedge Fund Group where he managed the firm’s relationships with some of the world’s largest hedge funds and marketed to them special situation assets. Before HSBC, he spent two years at Barclays in risk management where he received his training in quantitative analysis and hedge fund strategies.
Mr. Mahajan holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Maryland, College Park, and has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the M.S. University of Baroda, India.
